Two weeks ago, NEPFF regular Mattsky went on a tour of Gillette Stadium. During the tour, Patriots Hall of Fame wide receiver Troy Brown answered questions from fans. Matt filmed some of Troy’s answers; the videos can be found below.
- A stadium Troy describes as worse than Foxboro Stadium – you get three guesses as to the city, and the first two don’t count – with fans sitting close enough to the action that “when you went in the tunnel for halftime, they could reach out and punch you in the head.”
- The team Troy hated as a kid, got a thrill of knocking out of the playoffs, and still hates now.
- Turf versus grass, and the rapid change in Gillette Stadium ground.
- Troy’s training camp days, when two-a-days were the norm, compared to the somewhat-lighter practice loads today.
But I won’t spoil the videos for you. Take nine minutes to watch and enjoy.
